Spending time outdoors is good for us. It reduces stress, improves focus, enhances creativity and keeps us active.  In high school, the schoolyard provides students with a daily dose of green space. But do their designs empower students to reap the well-being benefits of time outside? What types of outdoor spaces do students want?

The Schoolyard I’d Like  is a competition for high school students to illustrate and describe the perfect outdoor space for their school. It's about sharing ideas, spurring change - and winning prizes. This competition seeks to provide students with a voice in defining a NEW type of schoolyard.
